For this project we was asked to pave this front garden in Hutton, using block paving, creating a lovely new driveway. Firstly we had to dig out all the hardcore to 8 inches deep. This was then filled with lean mix concrete base, which will last for many years. 25mm of sand was then laid on top. This was wacked and levelled off for maximum strength. We then laid Marshalls blocks in a herringbone 90 degree pattern. This was cut in and wacked creating a nice finish.
We were also asked to errect a new 3ft garden wall which seperated our clients garden from their next doors neighbours garden. We used glenbridge antique red bricks with engineering bricks for a topping colour contrast. Our clients from Hutton, Essex were pleased with the finished results.
